About The Company
Nestled in the peaceful countryside, East Farm is a four-bed children’s home where high-quality care meets a calm, therapeutic environment. Here, every young person is supported through a trauma-informed, family-style approach — a place where patience, understanding, and consistency help children grow, heal, and thrive.
We believe that every young person has the potential for positive change. Through trust, empathy, and strong relationships, we empower children to build confidence, make safe choices, and achieve their dreams. At East Farm, every team member plays a vital role in helping young people develop emotional resilience, independence, and a true sense of belonging.
About The Role
As a Support Worker, you’ll join a dedicated, passionate team committed to transforming young people’s lives. No two days are the same — you might help with morning routines and school prep one day and enjoy countryside adventures or support a young person through a challenging moment the next.
Your role is about more than care — it’s about creating a safe, positive, and nurturing environment where young people can flourish, feel valued, and truly belong.
What You’ll Be Doing
Complete a thorough induction and ongoing training, including safeguarding and trauma-informed practice
Follow East Farm policies to ensure safety and wellbeing for everyone in the home
Provide tailored support for young people with diverse emotional, social, and learning needs
Assist with daily routines, education, hobbies, and family contact
Promote independence, life skills, and personal achievement
Create a homely, stimulating environment where young people feel understood and valued
Build trusting relationships with children, colleagues, families, and professionals
Keep accurate records and contribute to team meetings, key work sessions, and handovers
Undertake sleep-in shifts and remain flexible to meet the home’s needs
Be proactive in identifying and reporting risks or safeguarding concerns
Maintain high standards of tidiness and presentation within the home
About You
We’re looking for people who bring warmth, compassion, and curiosity to their work. You’ll be:
Caring, empathetic, and emotionally resilient
A strong communicator with a calm, thoughtful approach
Organised, reliable, and a supportive team player
Passionate about helping young people overcome challenges and reach their potential
Motivated to work towards the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (England) if not already qualified
