Senior Asset Investment Manager (Retrofit) – Birmingham, B15 1LZSalary: £72,494 per annumHours: Full-Time, 35 per weekContract: PermanentMidland Heart is a commercially successful property business with a portfolio of over 35,000 homes worth approximately £4 billion. We are looking for a Senior Asset Investment Manager (Retrofit) to lead the strategic delivery of retrofit projects, ensuring they are cost‑effective, compliant, and sustainable. You will oversee a team of Contract Managers, drive energy efficiency improvements, and help our property portfolio achieve Band C by 2030.ResponsibilitiesOversee retrofit strategy and implementation by conducting thorough assessments of properties to identify energy‑efficiency opportunities.Manage project and budget obligations, including forecasts and timelines, to meet financial and sustainability targets.Ensure full compliance with PAS 2035, retrofit legislation, and grant‑funding requirements.Lead stakeholder and contractor management, coordinating with contractors, consultants and tenants for smooth project execution.Resolve technical issues, ensuring high‑quality outcomes that meet contract SLAs and KPIs.Implement continuous improvement and innovation initiatives by staying up‑to‑date with emerging retrofit measures, funding streams, and sector best practices.Provide out‑of‑hours support as required via on‑call/standby rota.QualificationsHold a relevant HNC or equivalent, or possess significant technical experience in construction/maintenance related contract management.Have proven experience managing maintenance contracts in a commercial or residential setting.Understand compliance legislation and possess strong knowledge of contract law.Be an experienced people manager, capable of leading and motivating a team to achieve challenging targets using excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.Working ArrangementsMidland Heart operates a Smart Working model.
