Remedy Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Academic Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Lewisham. This rewarding role focuses on supporting pupils who require additional help to reach their full potential through targeted group intervention work.As a key member of the Year 4 team, you will work closely with the class teacher to plan, deliver, and assess small group sessions aimed at boosting confidence and attainment among lower-ability pupils in core subjects such as English and Maths.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver structured intervention sessions to small groups of Year 4 pupils.Support pupils in developing key literacy and numeracy skills.Work collaboratively with the class teacher to monitor progress and adapt learning plans.Provide a nurturing and supportive environment that encourages positive learning behaviours.Assist with general classroom support when required.RequirementsExperience working with primary-aged children, ideally in KS2.A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Education Studies, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A patient, proactive, and encouraging approach to supporting learning.Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).Why Join Remedy Education?Competitive daily rates paid weekly.Designated local consultant.Ongoing professional development opportunities.Local placements that suit your experience and preferences.Please call Carly Walters at Remedy for more information, (phone number removed) #J-18808-Ljbffr
