About the Role We’re looking for a motivated Kitchen Assistant for Chartwells. This part‑time role (16 hours per week, 42.6 weeks per year) plays a central part of our operation across the UK. Key Responsibilities Preparing delicious, high‑quality meals that delight clients and customers. Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and surrounding areas. Ensuring proper use of all machinery and equipment. Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries and supply vehicles. Representing Chartwells and upholding a positive brand image. Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards. Adhering to Health & Safety regulations. Ideal Candidate Can manage pressure, prioritise tasks, and communicate effectively at all levels. Is an excellent team player with a committed and organised approach. Shows a desire to succeed and can work under pressure. Is flexible with shift work. Exhibits exceptional timekeeping and reliability. Requirements & Background Checks Applicants must be able to consent to pre‑employment checks, including an enhanced DBS disclosure and a Children’s Barred List check. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Candidates are required to declare all previous convictions and cautions to assess suitability to work with children.
