Care Assistant – Short shifts at Care Concern Group Location: Longbridge Deverill House & Nursing Home Contract: Full Time or Part Time Salary: £12.50 per hour Shift Type: Days (7.30am - 2.30pm or 2.00pm - 8.00pm, alternate weekends) What We Offer £12.50 per hour Pension Onsite parking Paid DBS Uniform provided 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on full‑time contract) Responsibilities Assist residents with daily routines, foster independence and encourage positive choices. Support residents following individualized care plans, providing hands‑on help and attention. Monitor residents’ health, communicate concerns to nursing staff, and handle calls to relatives or healthcare professionals. Uphold dignity and respect for each resident, ensuring they feel valued. Encourage social interactions among residents and staff, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Work with housekeeping to maintain safe, clean living spaces, and respond to emergencies. Assist residents requiring extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring nutritional needs met. Help maintain the overall happiness and wellbeing of residents. Qualifications & Requirements Preferred: SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care. Experience: Ideally 6 months as Care Assistant or transferable skills with passion for care. Passion for caring for elderly, commitment to delivering excellent service. Values: Integrity, respect, teamwork.
