Senior Software Engineer (Go, React & AWS) Location: Manchester / Hybrid (2 - 3 days a week in the office) Are you a seasoned Senior Engineer with strong expertise in Go and AWS, but also happy to lead on front‑end React work, and ready to take on a pivotal role in building high‑performing platforms? This is an opportunity to join an ambitious, scaling tech business that’s delivering cutting‑edge solutions to a global market. The Opportunity You’ll be joining a team working on the development of an industry‑leading product right from the ground up. This role blends hands‑on coding, R&D of new technologies, and solving complex technical problems, while collaborating across disciplines to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable software. What You’ll Do Lead by example through coding, design, and problem‑solving, setting the bar for technical excellence. Take ownership across the stack: frontend (React/Remix), backend (Go), and AWS infrastructure. Contribute to technical design and bring fresh ideas to the table. Drive automation and scripting across MacOS and Linux systems. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Infrastructure as Code principles. Mentor colleagues, supporting their growth through reviews, pair programming, and open collaboration. Partner with product and design teams to align technical solutions with business goals. Ensure security best practices are embedded throughout. What You’ll Bring A generalist mindset, comfortable moving across technologies and frameworks. Strong AWS and Go experience. Experience working with large front‑end applications (React). React Native experience is a big plus but not essential. A passion for problem‑solving and tackling challenges that don’t have straightforward answers. Excitement for working in an early‑stage product environment where you can help shape architecture and ways of working. Adaptability, ownership, and a collaborative nature.
