We have been assigned by one of the UK's prestigious NHS Trusts to help recruit a Consultant in Haematology on either a Substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months, to join their successful Haematology department.Our client is nationally recognized as an excellent place to work and deliver care. The trust fosters a supportive, inclusive environment that nurtures wellbeing and offers opportunities for development and progression.The successful appointee will join a department where responsibilities include:Providing comprehensive in-patient and out-patient services in Clinical Haematology alongside Consultant colleaguesSharing responsibility for laboratory standards and quality control, ensuring UKAS complianceParticipating in business planning and administrative duties related to patient care and laboratory interestsSharing out-of-hours responsibilities, including laboratory, transfusion, and clinical cover, on a rota of 1 in 4 weekends and one weekday overnight per weekParticipating in monthly laboratory seminars and the weekly medical division educational programmeUndertaking undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and trainingAchieving accreditation as required and engaging in clinical audits and guideline developmentThe trust is located in the Midlands, offering excellent public and private schools, affordable housing, and strong transport links to Birmingham, London, and an international airport.Additional Information:Full-time or part-time considered10 Programmed Activities (P.A's)Must have GMC RegistrationSupportive and friendly team environmentThis vacancy is for a Consultant in Haematology.
