About The Role This is an exciting opportunity to join our Credit Control team and play a key part in maintaining the financial health of Atlas. As Credit Controller, you’ll support the achievement of team objectives and help drive continuous improvement across our processes and administration. Reporting directly to the Credit Control Manager, you’ll manage a portion of the sales ledger, taking full ownership of your accounts to ensure timely payments and accurate records. You’ll use your strong relationship‑building skills to work collaboratively with internal teams and clients, always acting with professionalism and integrity. Responsibilities Manage end‑to‑end credit control by telephone, email, and letter in line with our agreed chase process. Work closely with the Invoicing Team and Regional Managers to resolve queries and disputes that could delay payment. Maintain detailed and accurate chase information on SAGE Accounts. Issue Final Demand Notices to delinquent clients when necessary. Prepare monthly reports on debtor levels and overdue accounts for the regions and Credit Control Manager. Support the in‑house solicitor by preparing case files for escalation where required. Qualifications 2–3 years’ experience in a credit control role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers and colleagues clearly and professionally. Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving. The ability to perform under pressure, managing competing priorities with calm efficiency. Exceptional attention to detail, with high numerical accuracy and reconciliation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office applications, and SAGE software.
