This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, community-focused team across two practices just four miles apart, both committed to providing personalised, high-quality eye care. Optical Assistant – Role Overview Working across two well-established practices in Leicester Part-time: 2-3 days per week Hours: 9am-5.30pm Only 1 in 4 Saturdays required Welcoming patients and providing a first-class customer experience Supporting the Optometrists and wider team in day-to-day practice operations Advising patients on suitable frames and lenses Handling contact lens enquiries and orders Assisting with remote edging and working with a range of Essilor lenses Helping with the styling and presentation of a varied eyewear collection, including designer and high-street brands Salary of £27,000-£28,000 pro rata, depending on experience Optical Assistant – Requirements Previous experience as an Optical Assistant is essential Confident in dispensing and comfortable working independently when needed Strong communication and customer service skills Passion for community-focused care and building long-term patient relationships Professional, approachable, and eager to be part of a close-knit team This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Optical Assistant who enjoys variety, patient care and being part of an independent practice where your input is valued.
