Senior Care Assistant Location: The Donnington Care Home, Wantage Road, Donnington, Newbury RG14 3BE. CQC rating: Good. Carehome.co.uk rating: 9.7/10. Salary: £12.95 – £14.52 per hour (depending on experience). Contract type: Permanent. Hours: 44 hours available on nights. Time type: Full time. Key Responsibilities Day‑to‑day responsibility for running a unit. Supporting with clinical duties, including observing, issuing medication, reviewing care plans and accurate record keeping. Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for all shift handovers. Helping with training and supervision of new staff members. Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses. Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties. Key Skills / Qualifications Completed or working toward an NVQ3 in care (support provided for completion if needed). Motivated, positive, with great interpersonal skills and enjoyment of working in a close‑knit team. Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of its rewards and challenges.
