CONTRACT MULTI-SKILLED MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Zenith People are working with our client who are a Manufacturer seeking a time-served Maintenance Technician with a strong background in high volume manufacturing to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of a high-volume production facility by carrying out both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic air compressed machinery. There will also be some PLC Fault Finding involved. Key Responsibilities Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and equipment to minimize downtime. Respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues, diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards. Collaborate with production teams to minimize disruption and maximize output. Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety. Assist in equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades as required. Requirements Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician/Engineer within an FMCG environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot effectively. Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing processes and equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Flexibility to work shifts or weekends if required.
