SEND Teaching Assistant Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing starting January 2026 This is an excellent opportunity for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a school that provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND across primary year groups Assist teachers in implementing personalised learning plans Adapt resources and activities to meet individual needs Support pupils social, emotional, and academic development Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting to the class teacher and SENCO Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment Work flexibly across different year groups and adapt to varying needs Contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing practices across the school Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning (or equivalent) is desirable Proven experience working with pupils with SEND in a school setting Ability to work flexibly across different year groups and adapt to changing requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong understanding of strategies to support diverse learning needs Committed to promoting inclusion and safeguarding children Why Step Teachers?
