Professor in Accounting

Position Department: Academic/Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) Location: Leeds (On site) Contract type: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week) – Sponsorship not offered. Salary: £51,000 Vision: Changing lives through education. Role: Lecturers to teach across undergraduate levels as part of the BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Responsibilities All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met. Developing, updating, and improving course materials as appropriate. Using a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials. Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties. Understanding and keeping up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices. Working towards a range of clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and student progression. Qualifications Hold a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance from the UK or equivalent (Full member of PSRB desirable). Previous UK HE lecturing experience delivering core accounting modules such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation and Audit or similar subjects. Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter. Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback. Experience with accurate reporting and maintaining thorough and organised student records. Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills. Ability to work with diverse groups of people. Desirable Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent). Fully qualified from PSRB's affiliates or active members (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and/or IFA).
