Job Overview SEN Teacher – KS3/KS4 (SEMH & Autism). Location: East London. Start Date: January 2026. Contract: Full-time, long‑term with an opportunity to become permanent. Pay: £180 – £230 per day. Responsibilities Plan and deliver tailored lessons to a class of 10 formal learners working between Entry Level 2 and Level 1 Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that supports emotional and social development Adapt teaching materials to meet a range of learning styles and cognitive abilities Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff to support individual needs Monitor progress, record outcomes, and report effectively to the SENCO and senior leadership team Promote independence, confidence, and resilience in all learners Ideal candidate Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent qualification Have experience teaching in SEN, SEMH, or Autism settings Understand the needs of learners working below age‑related expectations Demonstrate excellent behaviour management and strong communication skills Be patient, empathetic, and committed to helping young people achieve their full potential About the Class Learners: Year 9–11 (working from Entry Level 2 to Level 1) Number of pupils: 10 Profile: Formal learners with SEMH and Autism Behaviour: Some social and emotional challenges, but no physical behaviours observed This is a rewarding role for a teacher who wants to make a real difference in the lives of young people who benefit from consistent support, understanding, and encouragement.
