Role Title: Senior Engineer – Electrical Systems Locations: Hybrid working; primary site in Derby, Manchester, or Warrington. The electrical engineering team delivers complete design of electrical systems, from architecture to component specification, ensuring safe and reliable plant. Key Responsibilities Provide technical expertise across the electrical systems lifecycle for the SMR nuclear power plant. Lead design of electrical systems, including architecture, sub‑system design, and equipment specification. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and apply structured systems engineering approaches. Key Criteria Previous experience within the nuclear industry desirable. Proven record in regulated industries (Nuclear, Defence, Aerospace, Rail, Automotive, Oil & Gas, etc.). Qualifications Requirement Degree in electrical engineering or related subject. Experience-based candidates without a degree may also be considered. Transferable skills from other sectors encouraged. Salary And Package Salary £48,000 – £63,000 DOE. Performance‑related bonus target 12.5 %. Benefits allowance £2,200 per annum. Pension: 12 % employer, 6 % employee contributions. 28 days holiday (+ public holidays); option to buy or sell up to 4 days. Private medical insurance (BUPA).
