Overview Geo-Environmental Engineer sought at a successful, family‑feel environmental consultancy in Banbury. The client specialises in the investigation, assessment and reclamation of development land, predominantly working with housing contractors and on commercial projects. They pride themselves on an exceptionally low staff turnover. They are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team. You’ll play a key role in delivering ground investigation, risk assessment, and remediation strategies for a diverse range of development sites across the UK. In this role, you’ll have exposure to both consultancy and contracting projects and the opportunity to shape site‑specific solutions and see them through to implementation. Key Responsibilities Design and manage Phase I and Phase II site investigations Conduct fieldwork including soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, and gas surveys Interpret laboratory data and produce technical reports Develop conceptual site models and quantitative risk assessments Support remediation design and implementation Liaise with clients, regulators, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery Contribute to health & safety planning and compliance on site Requirements Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Civil Engineering, or related field 2+ years’ background in geo-environmental consultancy or contracting Phase 1 & 2 Report writing Strong understanding of UK contaminated land regulations and guidance (e.g. CLR11, BS10175) Proficiency in logging soils to BS5930 and using GIS or CAD tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel On offer Salary £28,000 – £35,000 A collaborative, flexible working environment Exposure to both consultancy and contracting projects Ongoing professional development and mentoring Opportunity to shape site-specific solutions and see them through to implementation To apply for the position of Geo-Environmental Engineer, please submit your current CV (ideally in Word format).
