The Role: As a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will maintain, install and refurbish building fabric and equipment across the GBS UK estates portfolio. You will monitor building condition, carry out repairs and renovations, and assist Estates and Facilities in planning refurbishment projects. The role may require travel to other GBS campuses and requires flexible working. Responsibilities Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on building structure and equipment. Conduct building and equipment maintenance, including electrical, mechanical and M&E systems. Ensure health, safety and compliance with COSHH and other regulations. Maintain documentation and inventory records for all maintenance activities. Plan and support refurbishment and fit‑out projects. Travel to other campuses as needed and adapt to flexible working hours. Qualifications & Experience 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification or equivalent. City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3 in Electrical Installations, or equivalent NVQ. Previous experience in building maintenance, including M&E systems. Manual skills and knowledge of refurbishment techniques. Proactive attitude with a “can‑do” approach. Familiarity with COSHH requirements for equipment and chemicals. Strong interpersonal skills – able to work independently and as part of a wider Facilities team. Full, clean driving licence.
