The Digital Business Analyst will play a key role in the design and delivery of customer‑facing digital solutions — focusing on API integration, data capture design, and process flow optimisation. This role requires a strong blend of business analysis, technical understanding (particularly around APIs and system interaction), and process mapping expertise. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, UX, and Operations teams to ensure that user journeys, screen designs, and system touchpoints are fully aligned and deliver seamless digital experiences. Key Responsibilities API Analysis & Integration Collaborate with technical teams to understand existing and new API endpoints, their functionality, and dependencies. Define what data fields need to be surfaced on capture screens and how they map to API payloads. Analyse and document API impacts for new features or process changes — including field validation, data flow, and error handling. Work with engineers to ensure accurate implementation and traceability between business requirements and API specifications. Process Design & Workflow Modelling Map current (“as‑is”) and future (“to‑be”) digital processes, identifying touchpoints between systems, users, and data flows. Design and document end‑to‑end process flows, including drop‑out scenarios and exception handling. Evaluate dependencies between upstream and downstream systems, ensuring smooth data transfer and minimal friction. Support automation opportunities through clear articulation of integration and workflow requirements. User Journey & Screen Design Partner with UX/UI designers to define what data should be captured on‑screen, and where/how it should be presented. Ensure alignment between data capture, validation logic, and underlying API structures. Create wireframes or support user stories for screen‑level design changes. Stakeholder Engagement Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into technical requirements. Facilitate workshops to gather requirements, confirm acceptance criteria, and validate end‑to‑end user journeys. Communicate impacts, risks, and dependencies clearly to delivery and product teams. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Technical or Digital Business Analyst in API‑driven environments (financial services or digital platforms preferred). Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, data schemas, and integration principles. Experience defining and documenting process flows, data mappings, and system interfaces. Ability to translate complex technical information into clear business requirements. Familiarity with tools such as Postman, Swagger, Confluence, JIRA, Visio, or Miro. Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks. Excellent stakeholder communication and facilitation skills.
