Job Title : Security Systems InstallerLocation : Manchester UKEmployment Type : PermanentSalary : £35,000-£40,000 + Van + Fuel CardShift Pattern : Mon-Fri 08:00-17:00OverviewA leading technology and infrastructure services provider is seeking a skilled Security Engineer to join its Enterprise Services division. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of a wide range of electronic security systems. This includes CCTV, Access Control, Intercom systems, and associated IP-based technologies.The role requires strong technical knowledge of security products, an understanding of how these systems integrate with wider building infrastructure, and practical experience in structured cabling. As this position involves regular interaction with clients, professionalism, clear communication, and high-quality workmanship are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, commission, maintain, and fault-find security systems including:CCTV systemsAccess control systemsIntercom systemsCarry out structured cabling installation, termination, and testing.Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and safely.Ensure all work complies with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and company procedures.Complete accurate documentation and service reports.Communicate professionally with clients, site managers, and internal teams.Maintain high standards of workmanship, housekeeping, and customer service.Work with IP-based security systems and associated networking.Skills & Experience RequiredProven experience in installing and commissioning security systems.Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, and intercom technologies.Experience with structured cabling.Understanding of IP networking related to security systems.Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.Good communication and customer-facing abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Minimum RequirementsProven experience installing and commissioning Access Control and Intercom systems.Proven experience installing and commissioning CCTV systems.Demonstrable knowledge of structured cabling systems.Previous experience in the electronic security sector.Understanding of integration between security systems and wider building technologies.Knowledge of open and closed protocol security systems.Strong understanding of IP networking as it relates to security solutions.Basic electrical knowledge, including voltage and current measurement.High attention to detail when completing documentation.Competent IT skills.Familiarity with current Access Control and CCTV standards.Flexibility regarding work locations and hours.Full UK Driving Licence.Valid CSCS or ECS card.Desirable (Enhanced) SkillsIndustry-recognised training / certification in Access Control systems.Experience or qualifications in Access Control system design.Industry-recognised training / certification in CCTV systems.Experience or qualifications in CCTV system design.Strong technical understanding of advanced IP networking (switching, routing, wireless).Experience with wider intelligent building technologies (e.g., lighting control, HVAC, energy management).Experience working to NACOSS NSI Gold standards. #J-18808-Ljbffr
