(Senior) Forecasting Data Engineer

In this role, you’ll design and deliver accurate energy demand forecasts and analyse business operations to identify opportunities to improve stability, scalability, and performance. If you’re passionate about data, innovation, and making an impact in the energy market, we’d love to hear from you.WHAT WILL YOU DOWorking in collaboration with key stakeholders in IT, risk, sales and finance you willCreate energy demand forecasts and related reports (PnL attribution and AOC reporting) according to business needsStakeholder Management – Engage with key stakeholders and ensure clear communication on issues that influence forecastingDesign and implement improvements to current codebases to improve stability, scalability, and performanceLead design, implementation and system development in line with business requirements and corporate strategyMonitor and interpret model performance and forecast accuracyAnalyze business operations to identify opportunities for improvement and propose actionable solutions that create measurable value and efficiencyProvide advice and mentoring to junior developers who support their technical growth and integration into the teamWHAT WILL YOU BRINGKnowledge and experience in the power market (highly desirable)Proven experience as a Data Engineer in a similar environment and tech stackStrong programming skills in Python (or similar)Expertise in data wrangling using Python libraries (pandas, polars, numpy)Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and preferably time series databasesFamiliarity with machine learning operations (MLOps)Experience designing and developing scalable ETL pipelines and knowledge of DevOps principlesCollaborative approach with strong stakeholder engagement skillsEffective problem-solving and critical thinking abilitiesProactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvementAccuracy and attention to detail, even under tight deadlinesABOUT USSecuring Energy for Europe – it’s a simple statement, with a bold ambition.
