Join our team as we help shape the future.ResponsibilitiesClaims responsibility for a portfolio of Financial Lines claims. Portfolio will include international (inc US) jurisdictions, lead/follow, primary/excess and D&O/E&O/FI/Cyber claims.Assess and adjust claims in relation to policy coverage. Ensure that coverage is accurately accessed and communicated appropriately and promptly.Ensure that reserving is correctly maintained and long-tail projects are properly managed and audited.Appoint and control adjusters, solicitors and other experts as required, to ensure timely intervention and mitigation of claims.Ensure that claims are handled promptly, fairly and with integrity in accordance with Hartford claims management guidelines. Ensure timely intervention and mitigation of losses.Ensure that all claims are diarised and managed proactively.Ensure that all potential coverage, liability and quantum issues are identified and pursued appropriately and expeditiously.Maintain the highest standards of communication with claims management and underwriting to ensure that information on significant claims, large loss reports and claims trends are shared expeditiously.Review London market claims and advise within system and maintain accurate claims records at all times.Attend market claim meetings as required.Liaise with underwriters, brokers and policy holders on claims issues and driving successful claims outcomes for all parties.Act as point person for the Financial Lines Claims portfolio: liaising with stakeholders, attending underwriting meetings, providing claims portfolio reports/feedback, creating/implementing claims management solutions to key accounts, assisting with policy wordings and other portfolio tasks as required.Manage Financial Lines large losses, prepare Financial Lines Watchlist documents/meetings and contribute to claims large loss and trend feedback.Provide technical support and training to junior claims team.Assist with reinsurance issues.Assist with auditing of claims TPA’s and external providers as required.Ensure compliance with Lloyds minimum standards and all regulatory and statutory requirements relating to claims handling, in particular TCF.Qualifications & CapabilitiesReasonable standard of educationWorking knowledge of ECF2Willingness to continue to develop knowledge of Insurance and related issues through formal and informal learning / examsAbility to prioritise and organise workload and meet deadlinesAbility to develop and sustain relationships with internal and external customersKnowledge of FCA / PRA and Lloyds rules and guidelinesStrong communication and presentation skillsExcellent negotiating skillsBusiness level EnglishExperienceStrong relevant claims handling experience with a London insurance company / Lloyds SyndicateRelevant claims handling experienceExperience / technical knowledge of Financial Lines Classes of business, including Directors & Officers, Management Liability, Professional Indemnity, Financial Institutions and CyberThis role will be based in London, UK and you are required to have the necessary right to work details prior to application.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionFinance and Sales #J-18808-Ljbffr
