Job Title: Personal Advisor Location: Hybrid - Sand Martin House, Peterborough Rate: £24 per hour (Umbrella) Contract Type: Temporary Working Pattern: Hybrid (Minimum 2 days in office per week) About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Personal Advisor to join our team supporting care leavers in Peterborough. This is a hybrid role based at Sand Martin House, with a minimum of two days per week in the office. Due to the nature of the role, additional in-person work may be required to support young people in the community and attend appointments. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of care leavers in line with departmental policies and relevant legislation. Work collaboratively with partner organisations to assess, plan, and deliver interventions. Support young people in attending appointments and achieving independence. Maintain accurate and confidential records using manual and digital systems. Attend and contribute to reviews, planning meetings, and case conferences. Conduct home visits and meetings in various settings (e.g., hospitals, custodial units). Assess financial needs and assist care leavers with budgeting and financial planning. Plan and record Pathway Planning meetings. Ensure safeguarding principles are upheld and concerns are reported appropriately. Deliver services in line with the Children Act Guidance and local safeguarding policies. Participate in supervision, appraisals, and ongoing professional development. Requirements Experience working with care leavers or vulnerable young people. Strong understanding of safeguarding and relevant legislation. Ability to work flexibly, including occasional unsocial hours. Excellent communication, assessment, and organisational skills. Proficiency in using case management systems and maintaining accurate records. Commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and social justice.
