I cannot express enough how rewarding it has been to see her develop and respond to me, knowing that I have helped give her the best possible start in her life”.About the Supervising Social Worker roleAs someone who knows what good foster care looks like, you will be responsible for ensuring high quality and timely assessments to provide high quality carers for our most vulnerable children in Devon.You will be working in a fast paced and supportive environment.Supervising Social Worker responsibilities includeFoster carer supervisions and ongoing support to carersCompletion of high-quality carer annual reviewsUnannounced visits to foster carersAttendance at meetings as required (eg. child in care reviews, risk assessment meetings etc)Presenting to fostering panel as requiredFacilitating foster carer support groupsClose work with childcare teams and other professionals to ensure safety and wellbeing of childrenAbout youLike us, you’ll be passionate about improving children’s life chances.As an experienced qualified social worker with energy and enthusiasm, you will be able to demonstrate success in the managing of complex situations.
