Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerLocation: KetteringSalary: £50,000 (Depending on experience)Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and driven Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering business delivering custom machinery and systems for material handling applications. This hands‑on role involves managing the full design process, from concept through to commissioning.Job ResponsibilitiesProduce 2D and 3D general arrangement and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.Integrate in‑house and third‑party equipment into optimised system layouts.Manage full project design cycle including design freeze, BOM creation, and release to manufacturing.Support site‑based activities such as measurement checks, installation, commissioning & test.Skills RequiredProficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD 2D.Experience in sheet metal and fabricated product design.Background in special‑purpose machinery or extensive metal fabrication experience.Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and managing BOMs.Compensation & Other BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experience.Opportunities for professional development and career progression.Involvement in innovative and impactful engineering projects.Apply within or contact Levi Goodridge at Sapien Engineering.Please note that our clients are unable to offer sponsorship for employment visas.
