SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-time, temp to perm starting ASAPThis is an excellent opportunity for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a school that provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Staff work collaboratively to create a nurturing atmosphere where every child feels valued and encouraged.Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND across secondary year groups
Assist teachers in implementing personalised learning plans
Adapt resources and activities to meet individual needs
Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting to the class teacher and SENCO
Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Work flexibly across different year groups and adapt to varying needs
Contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing practices across the schoolIdeal SEND Teaching Assistant:
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning (or equivalent)
Proven experience working with pupils with SEND, ideally in a secondary setting
Ability to work flexibly across different year groups and adapt to changing requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong understanding of strategies to support diverse learning needs
