About RoleWe are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a great school in Kirkby starting as soon as possible. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a young person, providing tailored academic and emotional support within a secondary school setting.1:1 Teaching AssistantLocation - Kirkby, L32Type of work - Long TermStart date - December 2025Contract type - Long-term TemporaryFull time/part time - Full timePay: Paid to scaleHours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pmKey ResponsibilitiesWork closely with a specific student to support their learning and progress across the curriculum.Assist with adapting lesson materials to meet the student's individual needs.Promote student engagement, confidence, and independence.Liaise effectively with teachers, SENCO, and parents/carers.Support the delivery of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour.The Ideal Candidate Will HaveExperience working with young people in an education setting, particularly those with additional learning needs, is desirable.Patient, empathetic, and adaptable.Able to work collaboratively with staff.A relevant qualification (e.g. Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is an advantage.To be eligibleHold Right to Work in the UK.Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.Provide two professional references covering the last 2 years.If you are interested in this role, please apply to this advert. #J-18808-Ljbffr
