Overview Mechanical Design Engineer - Full-Time and Permanent Jackson Hogg is delighted to be recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer for a leading project delivery specialist providing full turnkey EPC and OEM solutions to the bulk material handling and plant processing markets. This business operates globally across sectors including aggregates, tunnelling, mining, quarrying, alternative fuels, waste-to-energy, ports, and food, and has built an outstanding reputation for delivering engineering excellence and reliable performance. This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing and dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing equipment and systems to meet project briefs, producing high-quality technical documentation including drawings, 3D models, bills of materials, and manufacture packs. Responsibilities Design and develop equipment and systems in line with project requirements. Produce accurate 3D models and technical drawings in accordance with CAD standards. Prepare and maintain all relevant technical documentation. Manage drawings, models, bills of materials, and associated documents using company systems. Undertake peer reviews of designs and technical documents. Contribute to and attend design review meetings. Ensure compliance with project briefs, standards, and regulations. Requirements Essential: Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer. Strong 3D CAD skills (Autodesk Inventor preferred). Good knowledge of technical drawing and drafting standards (BS 8888). Strong understanding of the design process and supporting documentation. Knowledge of manufacturing processes relevant to mechanical design. Desirable: Industry experience in bulk material handling or heavy plant equipment. Familiarity with additional CAD platforms and design tools.
