Join to apply for the Lead Psychologist role at TipTopJob An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Lead Psychologist to work in an exceptional psychiatric inpatient service based in the Exeter, Devon area. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading health care providers. The service is a purpose-built facility, providing specialist care for adults with acute mental health needs. To be considered for this position you must have BPS recognised psychology degrees and be HCPC registered. Responsibilities Participation in the assessment of referrals and provision of initial assessment for service users referred to the service. Undertaking high-quality direct (assessment and therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory, and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions and making autonomous clinical decisions. Working therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, undertaking assessments using a broad range of structured psychometric and semi-structured clinical methods. Formulating and implementing plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of patients’ mental health needs based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence-based best practice. Being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care. Maintaining high standards of care in all areas of practice and in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines and company policies and procedures. Qualifications BPS recognized psychology degree. HCPC registration. Preferred Skills & Experience Understanding of evidence-based psychological practice. Experience applying psychological knowledge to a clinical setting. Experience working with clients with cognitive deficits. Previous research and project experience. Benefits Gross salary of GBP38,400 per annum. Permanent part-time role – 22.5 hours per week. 25 days annual leave (inc. Bank Holidays) plus birthday off. Free meals and parking.
