We're looking for an efficient and experienced Assistant Accountant to join our Motorstore in Oldbury. As an Assistant Accountant at Arnold Clark, you'll be working in a busy, fast moving accounts department, responsible for the supervision of daily processing functions, such as cash, bank, purchase ledger and sales ledger. Reporting to the Branch Accountant, you will assist them with balance sheet reconciliations, VAT, accounts analysis and monthly management accounts preparation. Responsibilities Monthly balance sheet control Monthly management accounts Quarterly VAT Returns Year End Key Control submissions (vehicle stock checks, sales ledger review, fuel reconciliation etc.) Cash postings Bank reconciliations Purchase Ledger Credit Control Vehicle Debtors Vehicle Profit Reports Qualifications Previous experience across the full range of daily accounts processes Great communication skills High levels of organisation and accuracy A polite telephone manner and good interpersonal skills Good Excel skills Ability to be proactive and motivated Strong attention to detail You must be a team player who works well meeting daily demands Extensive experience working within an accounts department is preferred Benefits 33 days' holiday allowance with room to grow Private healthcare Generous retail discounts Flexible leave Maternity and paternity packages Access to training opportunities to grow and develop skills ...and much more Discount on new and used vehicles Contributory pension scheme Hours Full-time: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm Arnold Clark is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
