OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with deep expertise in SQL, Snowflake, and DBT to support our ongoing data platform modernization initiative.You will help design, implement, and maintain scalable, modular data models and transformations using modern tooling. This role is ideal for someone who understands how to work with complex data structures, including JSON, and build efficient, reusable DBT models that support analytical and operational use cases across the organization.ResponsibilitiesDevelop robust and reusable DBT models to transform and organize raw data into clean, well-structured datasetsWrite complex, efficient SQL queries including CTEs, stored procedures, views, and partitioning strategiesBuild relational models from semi-structured data (e.g., JSON) using SQL and DBTWork within the Snowflake platform to design performant, scalable data solutionsOptimize use of Snowflake Virtual Warehouses, manage data sharing, and understand cost/performance trade-offsCollaborate with analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams to ensure consistent and reliable data deliveryParticipate in code reviews and contribute to best practices around data modeling, transformation logic, and documentationRequirementsExcellent SQL skills — demonstrated expertise with CTEs, procedures, partitioning strategies, and creating viewsStrong working knowledge of Snowflake, including virtual warehouses, data sharing, and querying JSON and semi-structured dataMinimum 2 years’ experience with DBT, including building and managing reusable transformation modelsProven ability to model and transform complex data sources (especially JSON) into structured relational modelsFamiliarity with version control (e.g., Git), testing frameworks, and deployment practices within DBTStrong understanding of performance optimization and cost-awareness in a cloud data warehouse contextExperience working in a collaborative, agile environmentFinancial services or regulated industry experience is a plusWe offerPensionEmployee Assistance ProgrammeEnhanced Maternity policyGive as You EarnCycle to Work SchemeEmployee Referral Bonus SchemeDiversity NetworksAccess to a range of skills and certificationsSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionBusiness Development, Information Technology, and EngineeringIndustries: Software Development and IT Services and IT ConsultingWe’re committed to equal opportunity and an inclusive workplace.
