We have a superb group of highly committed and enthusiasticadministrative and reception staff.Our practice is part of Holgate Primary Care Network who support our practice, with roles including physiotherapy, pharmacists, mental health practitioners and our centralised urgent care hub team.We're situated close to the town centrewith a list size of over 20,000 patients and operate from purpose built premises inLinthorpe and a branch surgery situated in the North Ormesby Health Village.Job responsibilitiesJob summary:The practice nurse will work as part of the primary healthcare teamproviding Personal Medical Services to the patients of the practice.Job responsibilities:Assist in and perform routinetasks related to patient care as directed by senior nursing staff and GPsProvision of chronic disease management clinicsCytologyRemoval of SuturesECGsVenepunctureProvision of general nursingduties, e.g. dressings, ear syringing, etc.Routine immunisations / ChildhoodimmunisationsAssisting GPs with minor surgeryRequesting pathology tests, forexample urine culture, swabsContraceptionFollowing agreed clinicalprotocols with referral to nurse manager or GPs as appropriateMaintaining and cleaningequipment used by the nursesChaperoning and assistingpatients who are being examined by another clinician.Maintain general tidiness andcleanliness of roomOrdering of Health PromotionLiteratureParticipation in administrativesystems in the PracticeAt all times there will be a needto maintain accurate recordsA duty to advise senior nurses ofpotential problems or errors within the range of assigned tasksAttend and participate in anymeetings when required.Any other delegated duties appropriate to the postPerson SpecificationExperiencePractical experience of working in a teamExperience of using own initiativeExperience of working within a General PracticeSkillsTime management and the ability to work to deadlinesInterpersonal skillsQualificationsRegistered NurseMember of a professional bodyQualified and experienced in Vaccinations & Immunisations, Cervical Screening and Wound CareQualified and experienced in Diabetes and COPDDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
