Serenity Specialist Care provides specialist healthcare with compassion and excellence. The Role As our Head of Finance, you’ll be the go‑to person for everything financial. From budgets and reporting to payroll, taxes, and audits — you’ll make sure both businesses stay financially healthy and compliant. You’ll also lead and support our finance team, helping to improve processes and drive efficiency. What You’ll Do Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Oversee payroll, accounts, cash flow, and treasury management. Manage day‑to‑day finance operations, including Xero. Ensure compliance with UK tax laws, VAT, and audit requirements. Prepare clear financial reports to support business decisions. Maintain internal controls and manage financial risk. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team. Provide strategic financial advice to business leaders. Who You Are 8+ years of finance experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. Qualified accountant (CA / CPA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent). Experienced in Xero and payroll administration. Skilled in managing budgets, cash flow, and tax compliance. Analytical, organised, and a clear communicator. A supportive leader who enjoys working across multiple teams. Experience working with multi‑entity businesses is an advantage.
