Non-Resident Fellow – Oncology We have an exciting opportunity for a Non-Resident Fellow to join our Oncology team at The London Clinic located in Central London (Close to Regents Park & Baker Street tube stations). The London Clinic is one of the UK's largest private hospitals, known for putting the patient at the heart of everything we do. As a Non-Resident Oncology Fellow, you will provide clinical and medical support on the Oncology ward and in Outpatient Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy Units, delivering general patient care and medical procedures. Job Profile Job Type: Full‑Time, 1‑2 year fixed term contract, with possibility of further extension. Hours/Shifts: WTE 44 hours per week including 4 hours CPD, Monday to Friday 8 am‑5 pm (1 hour lunch), plus up to one Saturday morning session 9 am‑1 pm. Option to support advanced study and reduce hours. Salary: £61,875 per annum, negotiable. Duties & Responsibilities Provide clinical care and supervise oncology inpatients and outpatients, including chemotherapy and radiotherapy assessments. Work closely with Consultants and nursing staff to support patient treatments and symptom control. Manage acute oncological conditions such as neutropenic sepsis, treatment‑related toxicities, and other emergencies. Participate in daily ward rounds and unit meetings, maintain accurate records, and aid reporting and audit procedures. Attend emergencies and urgent requests in absence of admitting Consultant; participate in the acute Oncology steering group. Skills & Experience Full GMC Registration with License to Practice; MBBS or equivalent. Advanced Cardiac Life Support or Intermediate Life Support qualification. Completion of General Medical Training (FY1/2) with post‑qualification medical/surgical experience. Experience in acute medicine and high‑dependency/ICU; confident in managing deteriorating patients. Ability to assess and manage patients with acute oncological symptoms and perform routine clinical procedures; interpret standard investigations (blood tests, gases, ECG, CXR). Strong communication and clinical decision‑making skills; ability to build relationships with patients, colleagues and consultants. Self‑motivated, confident, articulate, diplomatic and courteous.
