OverviewYou will be working closely with the Band 7 RISE Crisis team Leads to develop this service whilst providing comprehensive assessments and intervention primarily within the acute care settings. You will provide mental health care to children, young people and their families in line with local and national guidelines.ResponsibilitiesAssess the urgent mental health need of children and young people referred to RISE and the acute paediatric wards.Identify areas of need for children and their families and assist them in accessing appropriate services.Act in a way that promotes and safeguards the wellbeing and interests of patients and clients in accordance with national standards.Plan, support, implement and manage programmes for children and their families in collaboration with RISE professionals and other agencies.Advise agencies on the most appropriate service for the child, dependent on need.Work in collaboration with adult mental health services for the care of young people whose needs are likely to continue into adulthood.Undertake home visits and attend case conference reviews as appropriate.Take responsibility for continuing professional development to meet statutory requirements and utilise evidence‑based practice.Develop and utilise specialist knowledge about working with children and their families.Hold a caseload independently and as part of the multi‑disciplinary team, working with children with complex needs such as challenging behaviour, mental health issues and complex social situations.BenefitsGenerous annual leave entitlement which increases during your time with us.Excellent learning and development opportunities, including apprenticeship frameworks, distance learning, internal training, coaching and mentoring, and more.Salary sacrifice schemes for lease car/vehicle, Cycle to Work, home and electronics, gym membership and more.Discounts with a range of retailers, restaurants and entertainment venues through our Employee Assistance Programme and NHS discount schemes.Wellbeing support, including an in‑house counselling service, external helpline and more.Staff networks and support groups.This advert closes Wednesday 17 Dec 2025. #J-18808-Ljbffr
