Specialty Doctor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology Fixed term post for 12 months at Glan Clwyd Hospital, North Wales. Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) is seeking a Specialty Doctor in Obstetrics & Gynaecology to join our friendly and supportive O&G team, expanding the service with the recently opened SuRNICC. Job Overview As part of BCUHB’s strategic collaboration with Bangor University, candidates with interest in teaching & research who can agree to contribute to the School will be considered for honorary titles and recognition through the University’s process. Main duties of the job This post supports the Registrar tier, so previous Registrar-level experience is essential. The position may include two sessions per week dedicated to an academic interest, such as study for a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education or research, depending on individual interests and service needs. Working for our organisation BCUHB is the largest Health Board in Wales, providing integrated primary and secondary care. The Women’s services division offers a full range of maternity and gynaecology services. As part of the medical team at Glan Clwyd Hospital you will contribute to the provision of treatment and care to the women of North Wales. Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities The post is fixed‑term 12 months and not a formal training post. It is suitable for a doctor wishing to develop toward specialist training or obtain CESR. The position may be extendable after performance reviews at 6 and 12 months.
