Cloud Security Engineer (DV Security Clearance), £(Apply online only) per day, Inside IR35, 12 Month Contract, Bath (Remote/Hybrid)

Contract role for a Junior Cloud Security Architect or Cloud Security Engineer looking to do some architecture. You will need to have current and Live Developed Vetting (DV) Security Clearance.

If you have good experience as a cyber security engineer, Cloud Security and want to be involved and get some Architecture experience - please apply.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work within Agile teams to deliver and maintain cloud platforms for the UK Public sector's critical infrastructure.
  2. Ensure scalability, reliability, security, and efficiency, adhering to government standards.
  3. Interact with security stakeholders across Defence and other government departments.
  4. Support security leads in planning and assurance for Tier 2 hyperscale cloud procurement.
  5. Assist with security assurance for Secret Cloud.
  6. Produce and review security documentation, ensuring alignment with MoD JSP publications and Defence Cyber Security Framework.
  7. Support relevant forums and design boards.
  8. Assist with the development of security assurance plans, security patterns for the cloud platform, and security architectures for on-premises Tier 2 cloud systems.
  9. Collaborate with product owners and architects to ensure designs align with customer and business goals.
  10. Monitor new features to assess their operational impact and drive continuous service improvement.
  11. Ensure strict adherence to Identity and Access Management controls.
  12. Create and maintain documentation for support processes and issue resolutions.
Requirements:
  1. Experience as a cloud security architect or engineer.
  2. Cloud security qualifications in Azure or AWS.
  3. Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with other architects and cloud professionals.
This is an initial 12 month contract, inside IR35 with hybrid working (1 day per week near Bath, with the ad-hoc requirement of 2-3 days per week).
