If you are passionate about making a real difference to patients’ experiences, understand their anxieties and wish to gain insight into cancer care, we would love to hear from you. You will work in a variety of clinics, including one‑stop breast clinics, nurse‑led wound care clinics and pre‑operative and post‑operative assessments. You will assist with diagnostic procedures and minor procedures in dermatology, plastics, sarcoma and breast. The successful candidate will be a qualified Staff Nurse with experience of working in an acute hospital setting, and you should be flexible, a good team player with a real commitment to providing high‑quality patient care. Responsibilities Plan, document, deliver and evaluate evidence‑based nursing care for patients in a responsible and efficient way, in conjunction with the shift coordinator. Develop a greater awareness and understanding of the needs of patients with cancer and the different treatment modalities administered within the unit. Understand the roles and responsibilities of managing a shift under the guidance of the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse. The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is a world‑leading cancer centre.
