Independent Clinical Network – In Clinic – Network Flexi – Flexible – Canterbury, CT1 3AS About The Role We are seeking dedicated Paediatricians who share our core values of commitment, trust, integrity, and kindness to join us in our Canterbury clinics. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive developmental histories to evaluate children undergoing autism and ADHD assessments. Observe the child/young person during sessions, ensuring questions are age‑appropriate and compassionate. Review ADOS reports, developmental history, and relevant collateral information from home and school within the same session. Formulate a diagnosis, conclude the assessment, and provide feedback to the family in a kind, age‑appropriate, and compassionate manner, including recommendations and signposting to local/national resources. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) in cases requiring further information, and offer a separate follow‑up session to conclude the diagnosis. Produce high‑quality, detailed diagnostic reports within 48 hours post‑assessment, adhering to DSM‑5 criteria and report templates. (Admin support for formatting and quality control is provided). Request onward referrals as clinically necessary, in line with local NHS Trust/ICB protocols. Our Clinics Up to four appointments per day between 9 am and 5 pm, paid on a competitive per assessment tariff (self‑employed, outside IR35). Weekend availability. Free CPD opportunities and training for further neuro‑developmental assessments, such as ADHD. What We’re Looking For GMC‑registered doctor with a valid license to practise. CCT in Paediatrics preferred but not essential. Expertise and confidence in ASD and/or ADHD assessments for children and young people. Ability to travel to our Canterbury site to undertake face‑to‑face work. Up‑to‑date with revalidation and appraisal processes. Must be able to complete a full report within 48 hours of completing the assessment.
