OverviewDescription :Position Title : Logistics SpecialistJob Type : International Logistics co-ordinatorReports to : Logistic Manager with dotted line to Team LeaderDepartment : SSPS Logistics (Based on-site Aberdeen or Montrose)Band : ContractorJob PurposeThe Logistics / EPC Specialist will support the logistic department to carry out the logistical movements of materials / goods coming into the supply chain (Manufacturing) and the loading out of completed products (Projects).We are a Manufacturing and Project driven Business; ideally the candidate will have experience in either one or both fields. The role also entails preparing customs documents for our broker for declaration (import and export) and audit checks to ensure compliance.ResponsibilitiesAssist development of EPC Project Logistics Plan (Shipment lookahead risks strategy).Coordinate and lead regular shipment rhythms on progress.Optimize planning to reduce shipment volume, increase consolidation and reduce freight spend (MOT shift contract vs spot).Strong coordination with interfacing roles in Manufacturing, Sourcing, Projects & Materials.Support monthly cost feedback on Logistics spend (Inbound & Outbound).Customer point of contact on all EPC Project Logistics related matters.Verify / complete import & export documentation records & registers in accordance with local customs compliance requirements.Compliantly moving goods whilst adhering to all Baker Hughes policies, International Trade compliance, HMRC and Customs regulations.Support the Logistics lead in Loadouts, arranging kick-off meetings, aligning all parties, controlling the flow of information and enabling collaboration to loadout projects on time.Ensure carrier compliance.Join and participate in all Logistics meetings.Loading transport requests into our freight system.Escalation point for NOR requests arranged via Requestor, Supplier and Logistics 4PL.Sourcing the most cost effective and efficient logistic solution to the transportation request.Qualifications / RequirementsMust have a good understanding of Incoterms and strong knowledge of international logistics.Preferred understanding Duties and Tariffs.Good problem-solving skills, sound judgment, initiative and creativity.Excellent interpersonal communication, influencing and organizational skills.Self-starter, creative and clear thinker.Advanced Microsoft skills (Excel, etc.).Training will be given with Logistic systems.Desired CharacteristicsSelf-disciplined and self-motivated with the ability to work within a group or individually in a multi-discipline environment.Ability to listen, learn and follow instruction while also questioning the status quo to enable ideas and improvements.Excellent organizational skills.Ability to communicate effectively to all stakeholders (Seniors, Clients and peers).Ability to see the bigger picture and adapt quickly; remain calm under pressure.Key SkillsSales Experience, Crane, Customer Service, Communication skills, Heavy Equipment Operation, Microsoft Word, Case Management, OSHA, Team Management, Microsoft Outlook Calendar, EHSEmployment DetailsEmployment Type : Full TimeExperience : yearsVacancy : 1Additional DetailsManagers Requested Bill Rate : 30.43Travel Abroad : NoPay Parity Checked : YesRig Certificate : NoOn-Call : NoDoes the position allow for the worker to be virtual / remote : NoIs Medical Check Required for Role : NoShift Work : NoWhere is the role based : Workshop BasedRotation schedule : NADriving Licence : NoDriving on behalf of Company : NoIs MVR required : YesCandidate Type Consideration : Expat / NationalIR35 Designation : Inside IR35 #J-18808-Ljbffr
