The Digital Advisor will be pivotal to building on our existing public sector offerings and driving continued growth through focused customer engagement and proposition creation for this, the largest and most successful industry vertical Version 1 serves today. This role sits within our Commercial team, working closely with the Office of the CTO to inspire and build an exciting future for both our customers and Version 1. We will do this through strategic offering‑aligned communities, clear differentiated propositions and capabilities, increased focus with key partners, and enhanced focus on customer innovation. As part of our ambitious growth plans for Version 1 in the UK, Ireland and beyond, we are looking to hire market‑leading advisory talent. The Digital Advisor roles are a pivotal part of the Version 1 strategy and will provide a focal point for our customers and commercial sales teams by defining, inspiring and evangelising the complete Version 1 AI, digital, data and cloud story. Qualifications Extensive experience of working with Public Sector organisations Obsessed with customer success and delivering on customer goals Strong enterprise architecture and solution architecture abilities and practical experience Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial focus and ability to build winning propositions Strong personal relationships across public sector IT and business leaders and with supporting industry partners Experience of leading complex deals, from solution definition through to pricing Track record of creating innovative commercial models to deliver customer value with cost competitiveness Experienced in working with major UK government procurement frameworks and models Strong awareness and understanding of public sector policies and strategies, including digital, data, cloud, AI Curious and creative – constructing innovative solutions and differentiating against the competition Great storytelling abilities, comfortable in public speaking/communication including video and events Strong technology perspective and understanding Able to lead and inspire others including technology colleagues working in these accounts Strong alignment to the Version 1 Core Values and Leadership Principles Role The successful candidate will undertake the following activities as part of the role (aligned to our Strength in Balance model). We don’t expect you to have had experience across all of the following, but an understanding and demonstrable experience is beneficial. Customer Success Build on existing strong relationships with senior IT and business leaders in your public sector sub‑sector Bring deep understanding and experience of working within your sub‑sector Regularly demonstrate market evangelism, keynotes and presentations increasing Version 1 presence Develop and produce compelling and opinionated thought leadership outputs that inspire Engage and build relationships with key customers, testing to ensure our services are market‑leading and responding to needs Lead Version 1 teams by example ensuring that new services and propositions are successful Empowered People Provide the linkage between technologists and commercial leads and able to discuss government policy and operations, across business and technology Public sector delivery team community leadership/orchestration Work with HR, L&D, Commercial and Portfolio to define appropriate learning pathways to build our public sector capabilities Strong Organisation Be the authority in your sub‑sector for Version 1, across perspectives including business, procurement, technology, implementation and service delivery domains Build great relationships with government leaders – both in existing customers and in prospects Lead by influence across the organisation, working with technology leaders in our portfolio business lines to build the best story and ensure we have the right delivery capability for success Bid and customer presales support – acting as bid architect and domain expert for any large public sector opportunities Ensure reporting and KPIs attainment including demand collation and pipeline management across Version 1 portfolios Additional Information Why join Version 1?
