Senior Care Assistant Location: Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom We're looking for a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in Carrickfergus. As a Senior Care Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in providing high quality care and support to our service users, ensuring their wellbeing and comfort. With your healthcare experience and commitment to excellence, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. We offer accredited development opportunities to help you further your career in homecare. Key Responsibilities Be empathetic, understanding and caring. Provide high quality standard care to our clients. Oversee care runs and click over of care runs. Monitor calls and assist on-call phone during weekends. Participate in shadowing and 12‑week induction of new staff, ensuring proper documentation. Report staff or client concerns, grievances and complaints to Area Manager. Ensure staff have protective items (aprons and gloves). Maintain client care folders, review and keep them up to date monthly. Conduct client risk assessments, report promptly. Maintain confidentiality and comply with company policies and procedures. Participate in emergency cover and training as required. Perform any other duties requested by management. Qualifications & Requirements 6 months experience in a formal care setting. NVQ Level 2 in care or equivalent (desirable). Registration with NISCC or willingness to undertake if successful. Good standard of English spoken and written. Valid drivers licence, own car and appropriate insurance for business purposes.
