The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring electrical systems are safely and effectively commissioned to meet project requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the commissioning of electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, motors, and protection systems.Perform functional testing, insulation resistance testing, and continuity checks.Support system energisation and ensure electrical circuits are properly tested before activation.Collaborate with the commissioning team to ensure electrical systems are integrated seamlessly with mechanical and control systems.Perform fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of electrical system issues.Verify electrical equipment settings in accordance with design specifications and project documentation.Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and UK health & safety regulations.Maintain accurate commissioning documentation, including test records, punch lists, and progress reports.Work closely with design, construction, and client teams to ensure project success.Qualifications and ExperienceNVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field.Proven experience in electrical commissioning, preferably in new build power generation projects in the UK.Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including LV and HV equipment.Familiarity with UK electrical standards, such as BS 7671 (Wiring Regulations).Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.Desirable SkillsExperience with power generation technologies such as gas turbines, steam turbines, or combined cycle power plants.Competency in commissioning tools and software.Knowledge of electrical protection relay settings and fault-finding techniques. #J-18808-Ljbffr
