OverviewLecturer in Accident and Vehicle Repair (Paint and Body) – HullWorking Hours: 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per yearSalary: £25,500 - £39,267 FTEAnnual Leave: 42 days per annum (excluding bank holidays and up to 3 additional discretionary days over the Christmas/New Year period)As our Lecturer in Accident and Vehicle Repair (Paint and Body), you will work primarily with students engaged across a range of courses providing support needed to achieve their programme of study. We have worked hard to create an environment where all of our staff, no matter what their role, are empowered to inspire & support our vision to create better futures for the people of Hull.ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality, engaging and challenging teaching and learning, employing innovative and interactive teaching methods to ensure stretch, challenge, and engagement of students of all ages and abilitiesLeading, coordinating and supporting course activities to achieve curriculum area targets, including collation and submission of financial claims to appropriate funding bodies and partners as requiredPlanning, preparing and updating all relevant teaching documentation including schemes of work, lesson plans and online learning materials using CanvasFacilitating academic tutorials, contributing to marketing, promotion, recruitment and interviewing of students and participating in open events, schools tasters and enrolment eventsAssessing, monitoring and recording timely feedback to students, leading IV/IQA processes, and contributing to quality assurance processes and curriculum design within the areaMaintaining up to date knowledge of the subject specialism by attending appropriate professional/ vocational updatingAttend meetings and communicating with colleagues within the curriculum area as and when requiredLeading, coordinating and supporting course activities that will support the achievement of curriculum targets. Accurately carry out the qualification completion process within the departmental systems in a timely mannerWhat we’re looking forSpecialism in Automotive engineering at level 3 and aboveCert.
