This is an exciting opportunity to work on the UK’s most significant sustainable energy project – a nuclear new‑build that will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for at least 60 years. The Opportunity Get ready to launch your engineering career with our customised 16‑month training programme. You will rotate through placements that equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed. During the programme you will be supported by a line manager, a placement manager, a mentor and a buddy. You will have a mentor to begin your accreditation journey towards chartership. Our scheme is accredited with a number of professional institutions: Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) Institute of Physics (IoP) Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Institute for Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA) Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IoM) We offer a great work/life balance and opportunities to network and learn. What You Will Be Doing As a Science & Engineering Graduate at Sizewell C you will gain hands‑on experience, develop technical and professional skills, and contribute to meaningful projects that support the UK’s journey to net zero. These may include opportunities within project management, technical design, control and instrumentation, mathematics, chemistry, physics, human factors and civil engineering. Previous graduates have gone on to become technical managers, senior leaders and heads of function. Who You Are Achieved or expecting to achieve a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree (2:2 or higher) in Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering. Have a genuine interest in nuclear energy, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a passion for solving technical problems. Can meet deadlines in a time‑critical environment and work well as part of a team. Pay, Benefits and Culture Alongside a starting salary of £37,500 per annum, potential for an annual bonus and a market‑leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers and experience days. Additional Information We are building a 3.2‑gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast, replicating the design used for Hinkley Point C.
