Line Up Portsmouth, England, United Kingdom Pipefitter Instructor Location: Portsmouth Hours: Full Time – Monday to Friday 09:00-17:30 Salary: £39,000 – £41,000 per annum Security Clearance: Eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level. Responsibilities Provide training on how to fit pipework on ships from a drawing (fit from design). Teach brazing techniques. Maintain strong working relationships with customers and colleagues within the Marine Engineering Electrical training area. Support trainee development through assessment, feedback and personalised learning approaches. Maintain and update training materials and contribute to modernising and improving training delivery. Ensure compliance with KPIs, SLAs and safety standards while maintaining a CPD portfolio. Essential Skills / Experience / Qualifications Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in an Engineering discipline. Proficient use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace. Competent practical Coppersmith/Pipefitter hand skills. Proven experience in workshop/industry principles. Desirable Skills / Experience / Qualifications Level 4 Teaching Qualification / DCTS Defence Train The Trainer Course or equivalent. Previous instructional experience in a military or civilian engineering environment. This role is offered on a term time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non‑working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro‑rated and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
