Enhanced Recovery Nurse

We are recruiting an Enhanced Recovery Nurse to lead and develop peri‑operative care for Upper GI patients at Hammersmith Hospital. This is a senior clinical role working with surgical teams, anaesthetics and the wider multidisciplinary team to support safe recovery, improve outcomes and guide pathway improvements. Responsibilities Lead the safe and efficient delivery of the enhanced recovery programme for Upper GI patients, using advanced clinical skills to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care. Provide specialist advice to ward teams, junior nurses and medical staff, support early discharge planning, coordinate MDT input and deliver education across the peri‑operative pathway. Audit outcomes, contribute to service development, support compliance with GIRFT and ERAS standards, and maintain accurate data for monitoring. Work autonomously, support innovation, lead training, and foster strong communication across clinical teams to improve patient experience and operational flow.
