Discipline: Water Treatment Engineers/Plumbers A valuable opportunity has arisen within an established water treatment company known for their outstanding provision of a variety of water treatment/hygiene and legionella services to clients nationwide. They are actively recruiting a hardworking and committed Water Treatment Engineer/Plumber based in and around the Walsall area. The successful candidate will be a qualified remedial plumber and will have experience in carrying out routine water treatment duties on various site types in line with the ACOP L8 regulations. Applications will be considered from Halesowen, Stourbridge, Wolverhampton, Cannock and the surrounding areas. Experience Extensive experience working as a Water Treatment Engineer within the water treatment industry. Hands‑on experience carrying out remedial plumbing on a mixed portfolio of sites. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (advantageous). Fully conversant with Health & Safety procedures/legislation and the water treatment industry. Strong background in technical and educational aspects of the field. Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Duties Carry out cleaning and chlorination on hot and cold‑water systems, boilers, cooling towers, shower heads and flushing. Descaling, disinfection, tank cleans and dosing. Temperature monitoring, routine sampling, analysing water systems and interpreting results. Conduct planned preventive maintenance on all dosing equipment as required. Perform routine remedial plumbing duties. Complete worksheets for work carried out appropriately. Build and maintain a good rapport with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients. Collate and provide accurate reports. Visit sites as per client requirements. The successful post‑holder will be versatile, flexible, have a strong work ethic and the ability to carry out the work effectively and within timeline, and must be flexible with regards to travelling.
