Maintenance Fitter

Hours:4 x 12-hour shifts (2 days and 2 nights) 4 days off Reporting to:Maintenance Supervisor About the Role We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to support mechanical maintenance activities at our client based in Hull. They are a leading manufacturing site based in East Hull and a leader in their specialised field. This is a 24-hour manufacturing operation, and you will play a key role in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Carry out mechanical maintenance tasks under the guidance of the Engineering Supervisor. Complete assigned work in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain accurate maintenance records and data. Assess equipment performance and suggest improvements. Follow all company safety procedures and operational policies. Immediately report any unsafe practices or conditions to the Line Supervisor. Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area. Required Skills & Experience Experience in a maintenance environment, ideally within heavy industry or manufacturing. Familiarity with Health & Safety systems, including lock out/tag out procedures. Willingness to assist with tasks outside core mechanical duties. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Able to safely understand and operate mechanical equipment. Committed to safe working practices for self and colleagues. Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role. Flexible to work the required shift pattern. Preferred Skills Knowledge of pipefitting, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and control systems. Experience with installation work. Experience operating forklifts, MEWPs or similar equipment.> Qualifications MinimumNVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance (or equivalent). Electrical qualifications/experience is advantageous. Good level of numeracy and literacy.
