Teaching Assistant – SEND & Personal Care

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant with experience in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and personal care to join a supportive school in Swanley, Kent.
About the Role:
You will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to provide individualised support to students with a range of needs, including complex learning difficulties, autism, and physical or medical needs. The role will involve personal care duties, such as assisting with toileting, hygiene routines, and mobility support.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND.
Support pupils with personal care, ensuring dignity and safety at all times.
Adapt learning activities to suit individual needs.
Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Build strong, nurturing relationships with pupils, promoting independence and confidence.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with children or young adults with SEND.
Comfortable providing personal care (training can be provided if needed).
A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ideally holds a DBS on the update service (or willing to apply).What the School Offers:
