Job Title: PPM EngineerLocation: EssexSalary: £52,000 + 10% bonusHours: Monday to Friday, days Role Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled PPM Engineer to join a busy FMCG manufacturing site. The role is key to ensuring all plant and machinery operate at peak efficiency, minimising downtime, and supporting production through structured maintenance programmes. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules across all manufacturing equipment. Conduct routine inspections, diagnostics, and condition monitoring to identify potential issues. Work closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities. Record, track, and report maintenance activities and performance metrics. Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new equipment. Recommend process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Requirements Proven experience in a PPM, maintenance, or reliability engineering role within FMCG, manufacturing, or a similar environment. Strong mechanical, electrical, and PLC knowledge. Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems preferred. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to work proactively, problem-solve, and manage multiple priorities.
